Analysis:Rivera couldn't escape a laborious opening frame in the nightcap of Wednesday's twin bill, tossing 41 pitches before his outing mercifully came to an end. Ranger Suarez (groin/illness) is on the cusp of coming off the injured list after being pushed back from starting Wednesday, so Rivera may not be sticking around on the major-league roster much longer. The rookie left-hander has yet to complete four frames in any of his three starts for Boston, recording a 9.45 ERA and 7:6 K:BB across 6.2 innings.
