Pettiford contributed 18 points (6-19 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 5-6 FT), two rebounds and four assists across 22 minutes during Wednesday's 92-59 win over Southeastern Louisiana.
Analysis:Pettiford was not particularly efficient in the opener. He started 36 games for the Tigers last year and converted 39.3 percent of his field goals and 29.0 percent of his 3-pointers. The 6-1 junior is a volume scorer who should get his numbers no matter the level of competition.
