Mukiele (concussion) is expected to be available for Sunday's Premier League clash against Chelsea after missing Sunderland's last two matches, according to coach Regis Le Bris. "Nordi should be available against Chelsea."
Analysis:Mukiele is nearing a return after suffering a concussion following an accidental collision with teammate Luke O'Nien during Sunderland's draw against Leeds United. The defender subsequently missed the defeat against Coventry and Thursday's Europa League clash against Dinamo Zagreb while completing concussion protocols. Having missed just one Premier League start before his injury, Mukiele has been a regular presence in Sunderland's defense and could reclaim his starting role Sunday if cleared to return.
