NFL Network to air Sherman-Crabtree audio Wednesday night
Someone at NFL Films had the foresight to affix a microphone to Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman's uniform before Sunday's NFC Championship Game, and the football world is about to benefit in the form of entertainment.
NFL Network will air a "mic'd up" segment featuring audio of Sherman, Crabtree and, of course, the instantly infamous incident that occurred late in the 49ers' victory over the Seahawks on "Total Access" at 11 p.m. ET Wednesday, Jeff Darlington reports.
Sherman said he told Crabtree "good game" and gave him a pat on the rear after forcing the game-ending interception, prompting Crabtree to push him away. Minutes later, Sherman was giving the "interview heard around the world" to Fox Sports' Erin Andrews.
NFL Network will surely edit out any unsavory language, but viewers should get a good idea of any jawing between Sherman and Crabtree early in the game that led to their late clash.
As Terrell Owens would say, get your popcorn ready.
