Dana White: TUF 19 is the worst season of The Ultimate Fighter

UFC president Dana White is usually an incredibly effective hype monster who goes to great lengths to convince us that the newest season of the organization's stale reality show "The Ultimate Fighter" is the best season in the show's history.

With TUF's current iteration (it's 19th domestic season being coached by B.J. Penn and Frankie Edgar), White is taking a completely different approach to show promotion: violently throwing it under the bus.

“It was without a doubt the worst season and the least motivated the fighters have ever been,” White told MMAjunkie. “But I can say this, at least the fights pick up at the end.”

White, of course, wasn't going to let his disappointment in season 19 stand in the way of espousing the virtues of the show's upcoming version featuring fighters from Mexico and Latin America.

“Let me tell you the difference between that season and what’s going on with Mexico and Latin America right now,” White said. “Every day we’re in there, and I don’t want to miss any of these fights. These guys are so pumped to be living in that house and so excited to be fighting. It’s just crazy. … When I go to those fights, it’s fun. I feel like I’m at a fight I just paid $1,000 for my ticket.”
