It didn't take long for the National Hockey League's experiment with cleaning the ice before overtime to be met with recoil.
The rather aptly-named dry scrape could reportedly be reverted back to a partial cleaning if it's deemed that it's sullying the momentum heading into the deciding frame, according to TSN's Bob McKenzie.
It was expected to only take a few minutes to clean the ice, but proved to be a much slower process in the preseason, clearly annoying both fans and players.
