Horrific news emerged out of Turkey on Saturday as Fenerbahce's team bus was shot at following the club's 5-1 win at Caykur Rizespor.
The armed attack took place as the squad was traveling on the highway from Rize to Trabzon, where they were set to catch a flight back to the capital of Istanbul.
The team's driver was shot, forcing passengers to step in and prevent the bus from losing control, according to multiple reports.
The driver's status is unknown, although the following images emerged of him exiting the bus and entering a vehicle that took him to a medical facility.

Abdulcelil Oz, the governor of Trabzon, said in a statement the bus had been fired at instead of hit by stones as was first thought, according to the BBC.
No players were injured in the attack. Police subsequently escorted Fenerbahce's squad to the airport.
