Mayweather won't fight Pacquiao again: 'He's a sore loser and he's a coward'
Floyd Mayweather continues to beat up on Manny Pacquiao. And a rematch of the "Fight of the Century" is looking more and more unlikely.
Mayweather continues to throw verbal jabs at Pacquiao, and had choice words for the Filipino fighter in an interview with Jim Gray, according to ESPN's Dan Rafael, which will air Saturday night at 9 p.m. ET on Showtime.
The man known as "Money" said:
Did I text Stephen A. Smith and say I will fight him again? Yeah, but I (changed) my mind. At this particular time, no, because he's a sore loser and he's a coward. If you lost, accept the loss and say, "Mayweather, you were the better fighter."
Not only did Pacquiao lose Saturday's fight, he lost the respect of Mayweather, who doesn't put much stock into Pacquiao's damaged shoulder, which he had surgery for Wednesday.
I'm not going to buy into the bull--- ... and I don't want the public to buy into the bull----. He lost. He knows he lost. I lost a lot of respect for him after all of this.
Mayweather won Saturday's bout via unanimous decision. If a rematch does go down, it'll take place in a year, as Pacquiao's on the shelf for at least nine months due to his significantly torn right rotator cuff.
Mayweather insists Pacquiao's shoulder was fine during the fight:
He was fast. His left hand was fast. His right hand was fast and he was throwing them both fast and strong. Excuses, excuses.
Mayweather's comments came hours after he said he was looking forward to Pacquiao fighting on the undercard of his next bout.
