The Chicago Blackhawks have turned to Russia for help up front.
The club has signed forward Viktor Tikhonov to a one-year contract.

Drafted in the first round of the 2008 NHL Draft by the Phoenix Coyotes, Tikhonov spent the past four seasons in the KHL, recording 69 goals and 130 points in 207 games overseas.
