VIDEO: Kevin Kiermaier makes incredible deep center field catch
Kim Klement / USA TODAY Sports
All of MLB surely knows by now: wherever you hit the ball, chances are Kevin Kiermaier will catch it.
In the top of the sixth inning Wednesday - with Tampa Bay Rays pitcher Chris Archer working on a perfect game against the Detroit Tigers - the Rays sparkplug outfielder helped his teammate with an incredible catch.
After Tigers catcher James McCann connected on an Archer pitch, sending a line drive into deep center field, Kiermaier leaped and stretched to make a beautiful overhead catch, continuing the pitcher's bid for a spotless game.
It was short lived, however, as one inning later, Tigers shortstop Jose Iglesias connected on an infield single.
