DFS: Dynamic Duos - Friday's Top Teammate Plays
There are seven games on the Friday slate featuring some reputable duos to roster in your DFS lineup.
San Jose Sharks at New Jersey Devils
C Joe Pavelski & W Joe Thornton
Pavelski and Thornton have gotten off to a nice start in the Sharks first three games collecting seven points as a duo. Having been teammates for quite some it is no surprise to see these two get to work right away. DFS players should give these two a real look as they take on the struggling New Jersey Devils.

After first three games, the Devils are 0-3 and have surrendered 11 goals fulfilling the lowly expectations people have for them this year. However, starting goalie Cory Schneider has only played in one game of these games due to his wife giving birth to a baby boy. In his one start, Schneider surrendered three goals. He will be back between the pipes on Friday.
Staples on the San Jose power play, Pavelski already has a power play goal and assist while Thornton has one power play marker.
Toronto Maple Leafs at Columbus Blue Jackets
C Ryan Johansen & W Brandon Saad
Aside from the Blue Jackets' horrid netminding that has allowed 20 goals in four games, Saad and Johansen have been doing their part to keep the Jackets competitive.

Combining for eight points in four games, these new linemates are proving that the off-season interest in their combination was warranted. Saad has three goals while Johansen has a goal and four assists. Constantly playing from behind may be forcing Saad and Johansen to play full steam ahead, but that is not bad news for DFS players.
The Jackets take on the Toronto Maples Leafs on Friday and like the Jackets, the Leafs are struggling to keep the puck out their own net. Through their first three, the Leafs have given up 12 goals. James Reimer is expected to start Friday for the Leafs and has a 2.86 GAA and .891 SV% on the 46 shots he has faced.
Calgary Flames at Winnipeg Jets
W Johnny Gaudreau & W Jiri Hudler

Though it is customary to select a winger and a center as duo, Gaudreau and Hudler have simply been too hot to ignore. If you wish to stack a whole line, then adding center Sean Monahan is not a bad idea.
Gaudreau and Hudler have combined for 9 points in three games with Hudler scoring twice and Gaudreau picking up four assists. The Flames' top line took off late last year and the off-season has not effected their chemistry.

A positive for this combo in DFS is that Hudler and Gaudreau can be rostered together without breaking your bank. Hudler is still underpriced relative to his production and sits significantly below Gaudreau and Monahan on the pricing spectrum. The addition of Monahan makes the trio a bigger hindrance on your bankroll as Monhan and Gaudreau come with higher price tags.
St. Louis Blues at Vancouver Canucks
W Vladimir Tarasenko & C Paul Stastny
It would be wrong to leave Tarasenko out of a duo article regardless of his partner. Luckily, Tarasenko comes with a reputable center in Stastny.

Admittedly, this combo has not been electric to start the season but because of Tarasenko's skill they are worth highlighting. Tarasenko has five points in four games while Stastny has a goal and three assists.
These two are always presented with the opportunity to produce averaging 18 minutes of ice time and will obviously see power play time when available.
Tarasenko alone will require much of your available salary, so be prepared to look for value at other positions should you choose to roster this duo.
