Here are theScore's goaltender value rankings for Friday, October 23:

Value Rankings
C | W | D | G

# Name Opponent Risk
1 Jaroslav Halak (NYI) vs. BOS Low
2 Jimmy Howard (DET) at CGY Low
3 Ben Bishop (TB) at WPG Low
4 Jonathan Quick (LA) vs. CAR Low
5 Cam Ward (CAR) at LA Medium

With Montreal Canadiens goalie Carey Price sitting this one out, Islanders netminder Halak faces the best opportunity to put up points against an offensively-challenged Bruins offense. Bishop, Quick and Ward will face plenty of shots, giving them additional value in the saves department.

# Name Opponent Risk
6 Ondrej Pavelec (WPG) vs. TB Medium
7 Philipp Grubauer (WAS) at EDM Medium
8 Mike Condon (MON) at BUF Medium
9 Jonas Gustavsson (BOS) at NYI High
10 Anders Nilsson (EDM) vs. WAS High
11 Chad Johnson (BUF) at TB High
12 Jonas Hiller (CGY) vs. DET High

Cam Talbot was in position for a 25+ save night until Nilsson was named starter in his stead. That doesn't bode as well for Edmonton. While Pavelec presents more of a liability facing the high-scoring Lightning, the backups of the night should give you an average amount of fantasy points. Hiller has the potential to be pulled each game he starts, a good reason to be bearish on the veteran netminder.
