Here are theScore's center value rankings for Wednesday, October 28:

Value Rankings
PG | SG | SF | PF | C

# Name Opponent Risk
1 Rudy Gobert (UTA) at DET Low
2 Al Jefferson (CHA) at MIA Low
3 DeAndre Jordan (LAC) at SAC Low
4 DeMarcus Cousins (SAC) vs. LAC Low
5 Nikola Vucevic (ORL) vs. WAS Low

The top tier at center is varied and deep. Gobert may have struggled in the preseason, but he'll be the best big man in Utah from the word go. He should wreck Detroit. Jefferson is improbably inexpensive making him a great value pick with both a high ceiling and floor.

Cousins was the best center in DFS. He carries an absurdly high price tag as a result. He'll get you the points, but it will eat away at your budget. Jordan and Vucevic are both cheaper and will save you at other positions.

# Name Opponent Risk
6 Marc Gasol (MEM) vs. CLE Low
7 Brook Lopez (BKN) vs. CHI Low
8 Greg Monroe (MIL) vs. NY Low
9 Tim Duncan (SA) at OKC Medium
10 Andre Drummond (DET) vs. UTA Medium
11 Marcin Gortat (WAS) at ORL Medium
12 Joakim Noah (CHI) at BKN Medium
13 Hassan Whiteside (MIA) vs. CHA Medium
14 Tyson Chandler (PHO) vs. DAL Medium
15 Jonas Valanciunas (TOR) vs. IND Medium
16 Zaza Pachulia (DAL) at PHO Medium
17 Gorgui Dieng (MIN) at LAL Medium
18 Meyers Leonard (POR) vs. NO Medium
19 Karl-Anthony Towns (MIN) at LAL Medium
20 Roy Hibbert (LAL) vs. MIN Medium

Marc Gasol is the best Gasol in the NBA. Drummond is a defensive powerhouse, but faces a tough contest in the Jazz. Whiteside should keep getting better while both Chandler and Hibbert look for success in new places. Both could underwhelm even though the minutes are there in the early going.

Dieng will be coming off the bench behind Towns, but he won't lose much time from the floor. He's more of a known quantity and Towns might struggle early. Considering Dieng carries a lower cost, he's the safer bet.

# Name Opponent Risk
21 Kosta Koufos (SAC) vs. LAC Medium
22 Jahlil Okafor (PHI) at BOS High
23 Mason Plumlee (POR) vs. NO High
24 Robin Lopez (NY) at MIL High
25 Timofey Mozgov (CLE) at MEM High
26 Steven Adams (OKC) vs. SA High
27 Ian Mahinmi (IND) at TOR High
28 Enes Kanter (OKC) vs. SA High
29 Joffrey Lauvergne (DEN) at HOU High
30 Tyler Zeller (BOS) vs. PHI High
31 Kendrick Perkins (NO) at POR High
32 Anderson Varejao (CLE) at MEM High
33 Willie Cauley-Stein (SAC) vs. LAC High
34 Frank Kaminsky (CHA) at MIA High
35 Jordan Hill (IND) at TOR High

Okafor will be raw, so expectations need to be tempered in the early going. He is developing a strong rapport with Noel. Adams is getting the starting nod over Kanter, which makes the latter's price far too high. Cauley-Stein could very well get starters minutes down the road but Koufos was given a spot above him in Sacramento's depth chart. Lauvergne is temporarily valuable with Jusuf Nurkic sidelined until sometime in November.
