DFS: Thursday's NHL Injury Report
Here's a look at the injury situation heading into Thursday, October 29th's eight-game slate:
Anaheim Ducks
C Ryan Getzlaf missed Tuesday's game with an appendectomy, and isn't expected to play Thursday as well.
Buffalo Sabres
W Evander Kane will miss several weeks with a knee injury, while G Robin Lehner and D Zach Bogosian remain sidelined.
Carolina Hurricanes
Bottom-six forwards C Andrej Nestrasil and W Joakim Nordstrom are day-to-day with leg and undisclosed injuries, respectively.
Chicago Blackhawks
D Duncan Keith remains on long-term injured reserve.
Colorado Avalanche
Depth defenseman Brad Stuart is day-to-day with a back injury, but even when healthy, he's not guaranteed a regular place in the lineup.
Dallas Stars
W Patrick Eaves was back in practice Wednesday after missing time due to a lower-body injury. Depth forwards Travis Moen and Curtis McKenzie remain day-to-day.

Edmonton Oilers
D Justin Schultz was placed on injured reserve this week, making him ineligible to play Thursday. Fellow D Griffin Reinhart was also placed on IR, while W Matt Hendricks remains out with a foot injury. W Rob Klinkhammer, who had been playing alongside Taylor Hall and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins on occasion, was placed on IR Wednesday with a lower-body injury.
Montreal Canadiens
No significant injuries.
New Jersey Devils
W Tuomo Ruutu was placed in injured reserve this week with a foot injury, while C Patrik Elias hasn't yet played this season due to a foot injury.
New York Islanders
D Thomas Hickey could miss a month with a lower-body injured suffered last week.
Philadelphia Flyers
C Sean Couturier remains day-to-day with a concussion, while backup G Michal Neuvirth is eligible to return Thursday from his IR stint with an upper-body injury. W Pierre-Edouard Bellemare is expected to miss two weeks with a lower-body injury, allowing veteran C Vincent Lecavalier to return to the lineup after being a healthy scratch every game thus far.
Pittsburgh Penguins
Bottom-six W Bryan Rust is expected to miss two weeks with an arm injury suffered Saturday, while C Eric Fehr remains sidelined with an elbow injury.
St. Louis Blues
D Kevin Shattenkirk won't return from his lower-body injury on Thursday, paving the way for rookie D Colton Parayko to continue his strong play. W Jaden Schwartz and C Paul Stastny remain sidelined long-term.
Tampa Bay Lightning
W Cedric Paquette and C Brian Boyle are both day-to-day with undisclosed injuries.

Vancouver Canucks
D Dan Hamhuis and W Brandon Prust won't travel with the team for its two-game road trip that starts Thursday due to lower-body and ankle injuries, respectively.
