Here are theScore's goaltender value rankings for Tuesday, November 24:
Top Option
| Name | Opponent | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Kari Lehtonen (DAL) | vs. OTT | 8 |
Lehtonen or Antti Niemi are the only options really worth considering Tuesday night. Ottawa isn't a gimme matchup, but Dallas is tied for most points in the NHL and has allowed fewer goals than any team in the Western Conference other than Los Angeles and Nashville. The Stars score a bunch, and have only lost four times. Don't bet against them.
Best of the Rest
| Name | Opponent | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Frederik Andersen (ANA) | vs. CGY | 6 |
Andersen has been suspect, and may not be worth much, but he is at home against one of the worst teams in the league. Calgary is not a very potent offense, but Anaheim's has been even worse. Consider, though, that the Ducks do have a winning record at home and the Flames are 3-7 on the road.
Nothing to See Here
| Name | Opponent | Value |
|---|---|---|
| Craig Anderson (OTT) | at DAL | 4 |
| Karri Ramo (CGY) | at ANA | 4 |
Ramo could be an interesting contrarian choice considering Anaheim's less than stellar offense. He's played well of late, but he's still not worthy of rostering on a consistent basis. The only play Tuesday is a GPP because of how unpredictable he can be.
Anderson, on the other hand, faces one of the most potent offenses around. In Dallas. A goalie traveling further than he's used to isn't exactly a recipe for success, especially when opponents include Jamie Benn, Tyler Seguin, and Jason Spezza.
