Here are theScore's defenseman value rankings for Tuesday, November 24:

Value Rankings
C | W | D | G

Top Options

Name Opponent Value
John Klingberg (DAL) vs. OTT 10
Alex Goligoski (DAL) vs. OTT 8

The Stars have affordable, productive blue liners and they should be active on every roster. Both show up with the man advantage, Klingberg more frequently, and will block the occasional shot, which is more Goligoski's specialty. Klingberg has 23 points in 21 games - best among all defensemen.

Best of the Rest

Name Opponent Value
Erik Karlsson (OTT) at DAL 6

Karlsson shoots more than Klingberg and blocks more shots, but he also costs a lot more. Karlsson is priced like the top talent he is, and while he can almost always be relied upon for productivity, it's more prudent to save with Dallas' D.

Nothing to See Here

Name Opponent Value
Mark Giordano (CGY) at ANA 2
Sami Vatanen (ANA) vs. CGY 2

Neither of these two have provided the offensive stability DFSers had come to expect. Giordano only has a single point in his last ten games. He makes up for it with his ability to block shots, but you might as well save money or spend up for someone more explosive. Vatanen has six points in his previous 10 games but isn't showing up as often as DFS players had hoped.
