San Francisco 49ers president Paraag Marathe will be reassigned following the season, according to CSN Bay Area's Matt Maiocco.

The report indicates that Marathe will maintain his title and duties until Super Bowl 50, but that the York family's plan is to have him take on a larger role in their other business ventures, including the Sacramento Republic soccer team.

Marathe has spent two seasons serving as the team's president, but has been with the organization for 15 years. Despite the reassignment, he is expected to continue in his role as the 49ers lead contract negotiator and salary cap expert.

The 49ers chief operating officer Al Guido is likely to assume more responsibility once the reassignment takes place, reports Tim Kawakami of the San Jose Mercury News.

San Francisco has struggled on the field this year and is headed towards a second straight season without a winning record.
