Report: LeBron's lifetime Nike deal to pay him upward of $30M per year

Talk about the rich getting richer.

Nike broke new ground this week when it signed LeBron James to a lifetime contract, the first such deal the apparel giant has handed out in its 44-year history.

And the Cleveland Cavaliers megastar will be well compensated for the rest of his days, raking in upward of $30 million per year, a source told USA Today's Sam Amick.

That ought to supplement his pension quite nicely.

Nike has endorsed James since he entered the NBA in 2003, and currently has 13 different versions of his signature shoe, the sales of which are estimated to top $400 million this year, according to ESPN's Darren Rovell.
