Here are theScore's goaltender value rankings for Saturday, December 19's eight-game slate (the afternoon games between the Chicago Blackhawks and Buffalo Sabres as well as between the Calgary Flames and St. Louis Blues aren't included on the main DFS slate):

Value Rankings
C | W | D | G

Top Options

Name Opponent Value
Matthew Murray (PIT) vs. CAR 10
Kari Lehtonen (DAL) vs. MTL 9
Devan Dubnyk (MIN) at NAS 8
Semyon Varlamov (COL) vs. EDM 8
Jonathan Quick (LA) at TOR 8

Murray is a must-play goaltender as he comes in at the minimum price for the position. He has an excellent matchup for his NHL debut against a Hurricanes team that ranks 12th in shots on goal but 21st in goals per game. Murray will have the upside for a high save total, without being at serious risk of allowing many goals.

Lehtonen takes the second spot against a Canadiens team that has scored more than two goals in just one of their past 10 games.

Best of the Rest

Name Opponent Value
Keith Kinkaid (NJ) vs. ANA 7
Steve Mason (PHI) at CLB 6
Pekka Rinne (NAS) vs. MIN 5
Frederik Andersen (ANA) at NJ 4
Curtis McElhinney (CLB) vs. PHI 3
Eddie Lack (CAR) at PIT 3

Kinkaid is a far cry from Devils starter Cory Schneider, but he'll still benefit from playing behind a defense holding opponents to 28.4 SOG per game. The Ducks haven't scored more than two goals in any of their past five games, and they've been outscored 8-1 in their past two outings.

Nothing to See Here

Name Opponent Value
Jaroslav Halak (NYI) at ARI 2
Cam Talbot (EDM) at COL 2
Anders Lindback (ARI) vs. NYI 1
Jonathan Bernier (TOR) vs. LA 1
Mike Condon (MTL) at DAL 1

Condon remains priced like a full-time starter, even though he's just the Canadiens' stop gap until Carey Price returns. His upside earlier in the season was due to his high likelihood of being credited with the win, but he hasn't been receiving the same goal support he did then. He hasn't won in five consecutive starts, and should be completely faded.
