Champion skier Marcel Hirscher narrowly escaped serious injury Tuesday after a camera-carrying drone dropped from the sky during a race in Italy.
The four-time World Cup champion was making his way down the slope during the World Cup slalom at the Maddon di Campiglio event when the drone inexplicably crashed just behind him, according to The Guardian.
Hirscher, 26, finished in second place behind Norway's Henrik Kristoffersen.
"This is horrible," Hirscher said of the incident, according to the BBC. "This can never happen again. This can be a serious injury."
