DFS Season in Review: AFC South
Here is theScore's daily fantasy season in review for the AFC South:

Houston Texans
Record: 9-7 (1st in division, 4th in conference)
Points (Rank): 339 (21st)
Total Yards (Rank): 5,564 (19th)
Despite playing with four different quarterbacks, WR DeAndre Hopkins finished with 111 receptions, 1,521 receiving yards, and 11 touchdowns. He was one of the most consistent fantasy options at receiver and played all 16 games for the Texans. ... Those numbers are especially impressive considering the Texans' quarterback carousel. The list of starters included Ryan Mallett, Brian Hoyer, T.J. Yates, and Brandon Weeden. Ultimately, Hoyer outlasted the rest and will start for the Texans against host Kansas City in the Wild Card round. In 11 games of action, Hoyer finished with 2,606 passing yards, 19 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. ... At running back, it was another lost year for Arian Foster. After missing the Texans' first three games due to injury, Foster dressed for four games before suffering a season-ending Achilles injury in Week 7. That story line is all too familar for fantasy owners and for Foster himself. Alfred Blue wound up the Texans' leading rusher with 698 rushing yards on 183 attempts and two touchdowns. ... The one saving grace for the Texans was the play of their defense. After struggling in the first eight games, the defense came alive in the second half and helped Houston win seven of its final nine games. In those seven wins, the Texans D never surrendered more than 17 points, recorded 28 sacks and forced 18 turnovers.
DFS MVP: DeAndre Hopkins
DFS Dud: Arian Foster

Indianapolis Colts
Record: 8-8 (2nd in division, 9th in conference)
Points (Rank): 333 (24th)
Total Yards (Rank): 5,142 (28th)
It was a disappointing season for Andrew Luck and the Colts. In his first three games, Luck failed to eclipse 275 yards passing and had a touchdown to interception ratio of 5:7. His season continued to deteriorate in Weeks 6-8 as the Colts suffered three losses in a row and were 4-5 heading into the bye week. Unfortunately, Luck's season would end at that point as a kidney laceration forced him to miss the entire second half of the season. ... With Luck out, the rest of the offense suffered. The Colts receiving duo of T.Y. Hilton and Donte Moncrief finished with a combined 1,857 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns. Those numbers were bolstered by replacement quarterback Matt Hasselbeck, who was forced to start eight games at 40 years old. Rookie WR Phillip Dorsett finished the season with 18 catches, 225 yards, and one touchdown. ... At running back, Frank Gore played all 16 games but struggled behind a weak offensive line. Though Gore never hit 100 yards rushing in a game, he finished with a respectable 967 total yards and six touchdowns.
DFS MVP: Nobody
DFS Dud: Andrew Luck

Jacksonville Jaguars
Record: 5-11 (3rd in division, 12th in conference)
Points (Rank): 376 (14th)
Total Yards (Rank): 5,581 (18th)
The trio of Blake Bortles, Allen Robinson, and Allen Hurns became a league-wide story in 2015-16. With Robinson hitting 1,400 yards and 14 touchdowns and Hurns going for 1,031 yards and 10 TDs, the Jaguars finished with 4,108 passing yards (10th) and 35 passing touchdowns (third)... Tight end Julius Thomas had an up-and-down season, finishing with 455 receiving yards and five touchdowns - four of which came in consecutive weeks. But aside from that four-week stretch (Weeks 11-14), Thomas was predominantly a letdown. He was also forced to miss the Jaguars' first four games due to injury... The run game was predictably weak. Jacksonville finished 27th in rushing yards (1,473) and tied for 29th in rushing touchdowns (five). Rookie T.J. Yeldon started 12 games but only eclipsed 100 yards rushing once and found paydirt a mere two times... Part of Jacksonville's offensive success can actually be contributed to its weak defensive play. Bortles had a minimum of 30 attempts in all but one game with the Jaguars often trailing or in a shootout.
DFS MVP: Allen Robinson
DFS Dud: T.J. Yeldon

Tennessee Titans
Record: 3-13 (4th in division, 16th in conference)
Points (Rank): 299 (28th)
Total Yards (Rank): 4,988 (30th)
Rookie quarterback Marcus Mariota was a bit of everything. He was absolutely superb some weeks, functional others, and abysmal in a few. Mariota twice had four passing touchdowns in a game and ultimately finished with 19 scores through the air. On the ground, Mariota attempted 34 rushes for 252 yards, which was the top average (7.4) among quarterbacks aside from Geno Smith. Tennessee looks to have picked wisely. ... The Titans' running back position, however, was another story. The committee of Bishop Sankey, Antonio Andrews, David Cobb, and Dexter McCluster failed to find any success regardless of who carried the ball. The Titans ultimately finished with 1,485 yards on the ground (25th), with Andrews setting the pace at 520. ... Unfortunately for Mariota, the receiver position was just as atrocious. Kendall Wright and Dorial Green-Beckham were the only receivers to top 100 yards in a game, a feat they accomplished three times. The lone bright spot for the Titans was the stellar performance of tight end Delanie Walker. By season's end, Walker turned into Mariota's safety valve and top receiver, catching 94 balls for 1,088 yards. Among tight ends, Walker finished first in receptions (94), third in yardage (1,088), and seventh in touchdowns (six).
DFS MVP: Delanie Walker
DFS Dud: Kendall Wright
