The New York Giants are set to interview Mike Singletary for their vacant linebackers coach position Thursday, reports Josina Anderson of ESPN.
The former San Francisco 49ers head coach and 10-time Pro Bowl linebacker has been out of football since leaving his position as linebackers coach of the Minnesota Vikings in 2013.
Giants head coach Ben McAdoo and Singletary were on San Francisco's coaching staff together in 2005, McAdoo as the offensive line coach and Singletary as the linebackers coach.
Singletary would replace the recently departed Jim Herrmann, who left for the same position with the Indianapolis Colts.
