Dynamic Duos - Monday's Top Teammate Plays

Winslow Townson / USA Today

Here are the top teammate plays for Monday's six-game slate:

RW Brendan Gallagher & C Tomas Plekanec, Canadiens (at Blue Jackets)

Max Pacioretty is the top dog on the Habs' top line but his game-to-game fantasy output can range from multi-point boxscores to just a shot or two on net. He has the most upside on his line but his instability doesn't play well in cash game formats.

Gallagher is an ascendant scorer in his own right; despite missing a significant portion of the season with injury, he now has 11 goals and 13 assists in 31 games. The winger offers exposure to Pacioretty - they play on the same line in almost every phase of the game - but at a discount.

Plekanec is the set-up man in the middle. He doesn't score at the same rate but given his talented linemates on the wings, multiple assists are never out of the question, especially with goals trending high against the Blue Jackets.

RW Patrick Sharp & LW Jamie Benn, Stars (vs. Flames)

The Stars' elite scorers have been quelled of late but with a matchup against the Flames' porous goaltending, the floodgates could reopen at a moment's notice.

Benn and Tyler Seguin have struggled mightily, combining for just five goals and three assists in their last 10 games. Sharp has been playing up to his season production rate, with two goals and five assists in his last 10 games.

While Seguin is in a major rut, Benn has shown signs of life with three goals and two assists in his last six games, not to mention 4.2 shots per game over that stretch. At the rate at which he's putting the puck on net, the goals will start to find twine with greater regularity.

C Patrice Bergeron & LW Brad Marchand, Bruins (at Flyers)

With a combined eight goals, six assists and 71 shots in their last 10 games, Bergeron and Marchand are pretty much playing up to expectations. Their relative lack of star power helps keep ownership down and their prices don't quite reflect how good they can be.

Philadelphia will have a hard time keeping pace, even with its goals against sitting at 2.60, good for 16th in the league.
