Bargain Plays - Monday's Top Sleeper Picks
Here are the top sleeper picks for Monday's six-game slate:
C Sam Bennett, Flames (at Stars)
Bennett has eight goals in his last six games and is still being priced like a third-line player despite his epic hot-streak.
As a result of his pinpoint sniping, Bennett's line, which includes Michael Frolik and Mikael Backlund, has become the most-used even-strength forward line of the past three games. And for as good as the Stars are on offense, their goaltending ranks in the middle of the pack.
If your format penalizes negative plus-minus ratings, that will hurt Bennett's value but cheaper options with more upside won't be found on this slate.

RW Brian Gionta, Sabres (at Rangers)
While Miller's career is just getting started, his American countryman Gionta is well into his final act. He only records a point at the rate of once every three games and most of those are assists.
If DFS rewarded points based on leadership, determination and character, he'd be an MVP candidate. Instead, he's a bottom-six skater on a bad team.
Still, he's taken 2.7 shots on goal in his last 10 games, leading to a modest bump in scoring. Improbably, the lineup of Gionta, Marcus Foligno and Johan Larsson has been the team's most-used even-strength lineup in that 10-game period, so despite his waning skill-set, he can still be a viable sleeper option.

D Nick Schultz, Flyers (vs. Bruins)
Schultz is so cheap, he wrestles squirrels for acorns. He only has five assists all season and his offense could be charitably described as "404 Not Found", but there is a reason why he can still return good value.
Boston takes the fifth-most shots per game with 31.4, while the Flyers allow the second-highest number of shots per game with 32.4. Schultz is the defense-first anchor on the team's four most-used penalty kill lines over their last 10 games.
The Flyers' blocked shots leader might be black-and-blue by the game's end, but multiple blocks seems like an inevitability.

G Louis Domingue, Coyotes (at Wild)
The word is out on Domingue, who is 6-2-2 with a 1.97 GAA and a .933 save percentage in his last 10 games. Ownership should continue to grow as more DFS players learn of the breakout netminder.
The Wild offense has faded from their hot start while the Coyotes' offense now ranks in the top-10 with 2.70 goals per game. Domingue may be the cheapest man on the slate but with the way he's playing, the days of this market inefficiency may be numbered.
