VIDEO: Former world champ Roy Jones, Jr. offers boxing match, $100K prize to fans
One lucky fan is about to get a shot at at a six-figure prize and the chance to be concussed by boxing great Roy Jones, Jr.
Up for grabs is $100,000 for anyone who is able to step into the ring and defeat Jones.The challenge is part of a promotion for URshow.tv.
The streaming network is putting on a pay-per-view show on March 20 featuring combat sports stars and entertainers like Jones, Ken Shamrock, and Rey Mysterio.
Along with the opportunity to corner a fighter and design a mask for Mysterio, the company is inviting fans to create a 90-second video saying why they deserve a fight with Jones:
The 47-year-old Jones had a sterling boxing career that included world title reigns at four different weight classes. In recent years, Jones has primarily fought outside of the United States and he even went as far as to become a Russian citizen last September.
This upcoming challenge, however, will be taking place in Phoenix, Ariz.
Opponent to be determined, obviously.
"$100,000 is at stake if you can put me on my back for the count," said Jones. "It's not going to happen. But you can try."
