Here are theScore's center value rankings for Thursday, March 17:

Value Rankings
C | W | D | G

Top Options

Name Opponent Value
Aleksander Barkov (FLA) at TOR 9
Anze Kopitar (LA) vs. NYR 9
Joe Pavelski (SJ) at ARI 8
Steven Stamkos (TB) at DAL 8
Vincent Trocheck (FLA) at TOR 8

Trocheck is in an interesting position. On some DFS sites, he's still well below market value. Elsewhere, he's possibly overpriced. This alters his overall value a shade, but he's coming off a two-point performance against the Canadiens and has just as favorable of a matchup against Toronto.

Barkov is the steadier hand, and has goals in four of five games while taking between three and five shots on goal each time out. Kopitar is a solid cash-game play against the Rangers, who are playing their second West Coast game in two nights. Pavelski is sometimes listed as a winger, but offers excellent consistency at either position and isn't overpriced based on production.

Best of the Rest

Name Opponent Value
Sidney Crosby (PIT) vs. CAR 7
Joe Thornton (SJ) at ARI 7
Frans Nielsen (NYI) at NAS 7
Jason Spezza (DAL) vs. TB 6
Jeff Carter (LA) vs. NYR 6

Crosby's DFS salary is still somewhat inflated, likely due to his reputation and name. With five points in four games against the Hurricanes this season, he's in line to do well. He's played far better at home, too. Thornton's value is reduced slightly because assists are of lesser value on all sites. The Arizona matchup counters this slightly, as does his favorable salary.

If you roster an Islanders forward, go with Nielsen. He comes considerably cheaper than John Tavares and has been more productive of late. He needs to do less to return value. Carter comes at a discount compared to Kopitar, but is far more volatile.

Name Opponent Value
Tyler Johnson (TB) at DAL 6
Pavel Datsyuk (DET) at CLB 6
Logan Couture (SJ) at ARI 5
Derick Brassard (NYR) at LA 5
Boone Jenner (CLB) vs. DET 5

Datsyuk is an intriguing option against the lowly Blue Jackets, especially after a two-point performance against the Flyers on Tuesday. With the Red Wings still not scoring with enough regularity, he carries more risk. Consider him a tournament flier.

Nothing to See Here

Name Opponent Value
Tyler Seguin (DAL) vs. TB 4
John Tavares (NYI) at NAS 3
Ryan Johansen (NAS) vs. NYI 3
Nazem Kadri (TOR) vs. FLA 2
Dylan Larkin (DET) at CLB 2

Seguin, astoundingly, either costs among the most expensive names - in which case, fade him outright - or is less expensive than Trocheck, mentioned above. Either way, he's not playing to his potential, like the rest in this list. There's better value to be found.
