Manziel says he's living with Von Miller, defends partying
If he's to be believed, Johnny Manziel is the second-biggest star in his current household.
Manziel says he's moved in with reigning Super Bowl MVP Von Miller, his teammate from their days at Texas A&M.
"I'm living out here with my guy, Von Miller. Everybody knows Von Miller. Super Bowl MVP, Von Miller, my brother. I'm living with him right now," Manziel said in a video obtained by TMZ. "We're getting our lives together, bro."
There's reason to doubt the veracity of Manziel's claim. Mike Klis of 9News reported Sunday that "Dancing with the Stars" is housing all of this season's contestants, including Miller, who has lobbied for the Denver Broncos to sign the free-agent quarterback. However, both players are living in Los Angeles.
Manziel was released by the Cleveland Browns in large part due to his erratic off-field behavior. The former Heisman Trophy winner was seen partying in night clubs on numerous occasions in spite of the Browns' objections.
Although Manziel went to rehab for an undisclosed issue last year, he downplayed concerns about his penchant for partying.
"I don't think there's anything wrong with partying, bro," Manziel said in the video. "There's a difference between partying and being out of control."
The Broncos possess a real need at quarterback, and while it's highly unlikely Manziel is the answer, Miller's unwavering support of the beleaguered 23-year-old could go a long way.
