Report: NFL's McCoy investigation ongoing, suspension still possible
The NFL's investigation into an altercation at a Philadelphia nightclub in which two off-duty police officers claim they were attacked by Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy and his party is ongoing, and league discipline remains a possibility, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
This contradicts a report from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, who said Monday that McCoy is not expected to be suspended.
McCoy won't be charged after investigators said the varying accounts of what happened are too inconsistent to get a conviction. The NFL reserves the right to discipline players for violating the personal conduct policy regardless of the legal ramifications of their actions, however. Merely by being arrested, McCoy opened himself up to league discipline.
At this time, it appears unlikely McCoy will be suspended by the NFL, but a short ban or a fine are still on the table.
