Bills add CB Kevon Seymour in 6th round
Kirby Lee / USA TODAY Sports
The Buffalo Bills have selected cornerback Kevon Seymour out of USC in the sixth round (218th overall) of the 2016 NFL Draft.
Seymour possesses excellent straight-line speed, posting a blistering 4.39 40-yard dash time at the NFL Scouting Combine.
The Bills are loaded up at the cornerback position and it's likely that they'll use Seymour on special teams during his rookie season.
Kevon Seymour Bio
Position: CB
School: USC
College Experience: Senior
Height: 5-11
Weight: 186 lbs.
Strengths
- Registered the fifth-fastest 40-yard-dash time at scouting combine.
- Special team standout. Made 19 career special teams tackles, and could contribute as a gunner on punt coverage.
- Can cover receivers on long, down-field routes without getting lost or losing speed.
Weaknesses
- Only had one interception as a senior and zero pass deflections. Struggles to track the ball in the air.
- Only started four of the 10 games he appeared in last season, and missed four games with knee and ankle injuries.
- Conservative. Prefers to play in off coverage and allows receivers room to make catches. Isn't eager to come up and make tackles.
