Kaepernick attends 49ers minicamp, not cleared to pass or run
In spite of his demands for a trade, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick attended minicamp on Thursday.
Kaepernick is still recovering from thumb and knee surgeries and was not cleared to run or throw, according to Matt Barrows of The Sacramento Bee. However, Kaepernick mimicked snaps during the practice session.

The 28-year-old was benched last season due to a series of poor performances in favor of Blaine Gabbert. Kaepernick is the subject of rampant trade rumors, with the Denver Broncos purportedly interested in the dual-threat quarterback.
Despite the trade request and offseason surgeries, Kaepernick's willingness to get back on the field isn't lost on his teammates.
"Kap's here, doing everything he can in the meeting room and out on the field, as well," 49ers wide receiver Torrey Smith said, according to Cam Inman of the San Jose Mercury News. "You see him standing behind, shadowing, trying to get mental reps. He's doing everything in his power to get ready to play."
