The New York Jets will host Terron Beckham - the cousin of New York Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. - for a rookie camp tryout next weekend.
Terron hasn't played football since high school and has instead been working as a personal trainer and model. It appears he's a mere beneficiary of Odell's stardom.
"I had a good indication from the Jets prior to the draft and we communicated several times today," Terron's agent, Mike Celli, said according to NFL.com's Chase Goodbread.
In a workout prior to the draft, Terron bench pressed 36 reps of 225 pounds, and also posted both a 4.47 40-yard dash time and a 44.5-inch vertical. While he appears to be a NFL-caliber specimen, it remains unclear whether he's a viable professional prospect.
