Redskins' Cravens will wear Sean Taylor's rookie No. 36
Washington Redskins safety Su'a Cravens will wear No. 36 this season, to honor deceased safety Sean Taylor, the team confirmed Sunday.
Taylor wore No. 36 during his rookie season with the Redskins, before shifting to No. 21 when Fred Smoot signed with the Minnesota Vikings ahead of the 2005 campaign. Coincidentally, Cravens wore No. 21 during his collegiate career at USC.

Cravens didn't consider wearing No. 21, imploring his fans Saturday to help him find a new number, paying his respect to Taylor.
Taylor was a two-time Pro Bowler and was on track to become one of the best safeties of his generation, before he was fatally shot in his home in November 2007.
