Former Viking Wallace wishes Laquon Treadwell well with old team
Most reports about Mike Wallace during his time with the Minnesota Vikings were not pleasant.
He had complaints about not getting targets and being underutilized as a deep threat while only contributing 473 receiving yards and two touchdowns in his sole season in Minnesota.
Now that Wallace has moved on to the Baltimore Ravens, however, it all seems to be water under the bridge with the Vikings. On draft night, April 28, Wallace sent a tweet to new Vikings receiver Laquon Treadwell, congratulating him on being drafted by Minnesota:
Wallace gave a shout out to wide receivers coach George Stewart and the whole wide receiver group. He also called upon quarterback Teddy Bridgewater to watch out for the young Treadwell.
Wallace and Treadwell both went to the University of Mississippi and have presumably met over the years.
Treadwell responded to Wallace Wednesday, thanking him for the words of support:
Treadwell will wear number 11 with the Vikings, the number Wallace donned in his one season in Minnesota.
