Ex-Lions receiver Brett Perriman hospitalized

Former Detroit Lions wide receiver Brett Perriman was hospitalized Tuesday with an undisclosed issue.
Perriman, the father of Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Breshad Perriman, was taken to a Miami-area hospital Tuesday night.

The Ravens wide receiver appeared to be optimistic about his father's recovery Wednesday.

Perriman helped Miami win a national championship in 1987 and recorded 1,000-plus-yard seasons in 1995 and '96 with the Lions.
