Dolphins' Tunsil says allergic reaction caused by dolphinfish

Laremy Tunsil will likely be less experimental with his diet going into his first professional season.

In a somewhat ironic twist, the Miami Dolphins first-round pick attributed an allergic reaction that delayed his introductory press conference to mahi mahi, a type of dolphinfish. While the fish isn't related to an actual dolphin, it is an untimely coincidence.

"I never had that before. Never again," Tunsil told reporters at a press conference Saturday.

Tunsil's turbulent weekend started when a video of him taking a bong hit was released from his Twitter account, minutes before the draft begun. The former Ole Miss standout was widely expected to be a top-five selection, but slid to 13th overall, where the Dolphins pounced.

The Dolphins announced Tunsil would miss his introductory press conference due to an allergic reaction, but the offensive lineman showed up an hour later, after being attended to by team doctors.

Going forward, it seems improbable Tunsil will try eating dolphinfish again.
