Report: Bears to sign Nate Chandler

The Chicago Bears are signing free-agent offensive tackle Nate Chandler, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Chandler previously played for the Carolina Panthers, who cut the offensive lineman in March after he did not appear in any games for the team in the 2015 season due to a knee injury.
The Bears had also worked out Jake Long to fill a spot on their offensive line, but elected to sign the younger option in the 27-year-old Chandler.
Chandler is expected to compete with Charles Leno for the starting left tackle job. The 2012 undrafted free agent started 11 games at right tackle for the Panthers in 2014.
