The use of tablets to review in-game images on NFL sidelines has taken off in popularity over the past few seasons.
While players used to flip through photos in bulky binders endlessly, teams can now use the advancements in technology to view images of the games they play.
There's some feeling of inevitability that the league will soon allow tablets to feature video review, but there is some concern with the logistics and security of that possibility.
One league source told Pro Football Talk's Mike Florio that multiple coaches are concerned about the harvesting of video used on the tablets and the video that possibly wouldn't be available.
If the NFL does allow for video use on the sidelines, serious procedures and policies would need to be put in place to prevent creating any unfair advantages.
As Florio points out, the access of videos, how video is created, who is creating video, and the practical use would have to be monitored by the league to ensure a Spygate affair couldn't be replicated.
