Cleveland Browns quarterback Connor Shaw is leaving the (new) city of champions.
The Browns' fifth-string quarterback tweeted a fond farewell to the organization, after being waived ahead of training camp Thursday.
Shaw played in one game for the Browns in 2014, completing 14 passes for 177 yards and one interception.
Sadly, he won't even be immortalized on the infamous Browns jersey anymore, after it was taped over in ecstasy following the Cavaliers' championship win.
The Browns now head into training camp with Robert Griffin III penciled in as starter, Josh McCown holding the clipboard, and third-round pick Cody Kessler likely to beat out Austin Davis for the third-string spot.
