Indianapolis Colts wide receiver T.Y. Hilton could be in line for the best season of his career after quarterback Andrew Luck signed a six-year, $140-million deal on June 29, making him the highest-paid player in NFL history.

Hilton is Luck's favorite target in the passing game, and is thrilled the long-awaited deal finally came to fruition.

"It's great. I know it's a big burden lifted off his shoulders, getting the contract done," Hilton said to Jordan Wilson of The Indianapolis Star. "Now he can just concentrate on football. It's what he loves. That's a big thing, just having him focused and ready to go."

Hilton recorded 69 receptions for 1,124 yards and five touchdowns last season, and enters his and Luck's fifth season with the Colts looking to best those marks.

With the deal done, Luck and Hilton can focus on improving a Colts team that finished 20th in scoring offense last year.
