Heard (foot) was released by the Rams on Sunday, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
With just five tackles and two tackles for a loss this season, Heard was not having much of an impact along the defensive front. His roster spot was expendable with the activation of receiver Danny Amendola (shoulder).
