San Diego Chargers wide receiver Stevie Johnson is being evaluated for a knee injury suffered during Sunday's practice session, head coach Mike McCoy confirmed.
Johnson appeared to incur the injury on a routine catch. The veteran wide receiver didn't apply any pressure to his right leg while being helped off the field.
"We sent him in for a test on his knee," McCoy said. "I don't have any update from practice. When he went down there, he caught the ball and got up and then he felt something in his knee. So we'll get that checked out and we’ll have more information for you tomorrow."
In his first year with the Chargers, Johnson recorded 45 receptions for 497 yards and three touchdowns in 10 games.
