Ryan Tannehill named newborn son Steel

Miami Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill and wife Lauren welcomed their first child into the world on July 24: a nine-pound, eight-ounce boy named Steel Ryan Tannehill.

"We have a buddy named Steel and I kind of like the name," Tannehill told Hal Habib of the Palm Beach Post. "We wanted something different."

The new dad has high hopes for young Steel.

"Hopefully it'll push him into being a tough kid," he said. "We'll see. He can't be a wimpy kid with a name like Steel."
