The Chicago Bears placed recently signed cornerback Brandon Boykin on injured reserve Wednesday with an undisclosed injury.
Boykin then confirmed the injury as a torn pectoral - which he'd been playing through for five days - and that his season was over:

Boykin was signed last week after previously being signed and released by the Carolina Panthers earlier this offseason.
The 26-year-old spent last season with the Pittsburgh Steelers as their starting slot corner after playing the first three years of his career with the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Bears added defensive back Joel Ross to fill Boykin's spot in training camp. Ross spent parts of the 2015 season with Dallas Cowboys and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but was never part of the active roster.
