Cowboys troll fans with Mike Vick tweet
The Dallas Cowboys aren't signing quarterback Mike Vick, but that doesn't mean the club can't have some fun at their fans' expense.
With Dallas in need of a veteran backup following an injury to Kellen Moore, Vick has been one of the possible replacements thrown around by fans.
The Cowboys' official Twitter account posted a recent quote from Vick on Saturday, leading many to believe his signing was imminent.
"Every kid growing up you know wants to put that star on their helmet," the quote read, which Vick said Thursday on the "Rich Eisen Show."
But fans' hopes of seeing Vick suit up for Dallas was quickly shot down by NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Vick has said he wants to play one more year before retiring, and it's hard to imagine a more fitting final destination for arguably the most electrifying player in NFL history than the Cowboys.
But watching Vick play with a star on his helmet apparently remains a pipe-dream.
