New England Patriots rookie wide receiver Malcolm Mitchell suffered a dislocated elbow Thursday against the New Orleans Saints, but he could return to action in just four weeks, according to Jeff Howe and Karen Guregian of the Boston Herald.

The wide receiver will undergo an MRI, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Mitchell, selected in the fourth round of the 2016 NFL Draft, suffered the injury after hitting the ground awkwardly upon recording an eight-yard reception. The 23-year-old walked to the sidelines immediately, leaving with a trainer to the locker room.

Prior to leaving the game, Mitchell caught four passes for 55 yards.
