RG3 has uneven Browns debut
Benny Sieu / USA TODAY Sports
In one quarter, Robert Griffin III showcased the electric ability that made him a free-agent target of the Cleveland Browns and the mistakes that plagued his time with the Washington Redskins.
In the Browns' first preseason game of the year Friday against the Green Bay Packers, Griffin completed a 49-yard bomb to Terrelle Pryor in his first play from scrimmage, but followed it up with a fumble on the next play. He recovered the fumble, but threw a drive-killing interception three plays later.
RG3 finished the game 4-of-8 for 67 yards and the pick.
Josh McCown took over the quarterbacking duties in the second quarter.
