Despite being carted to the locker room during Friday's preseason game, the hip injury suffered by Oakland Raiders defensive end Mario Edwards Jr. is not believed to be serious, according to Vic Tafur of the San Francisco Chronicle.
Edwards left the game after a teammate fell on him while trying to tackle Arizona Cardinals running back Chris Johnson.
The 22-year-old was making his first appearance in a game since a Week 15 neck injury that brought an early end to his 2015 campaign.
If healthy, the former second-round pick is expected to resume his starting role opposite Khalil Mack.
