Seahawks' Thomas Rawls: Not guaranteed majority of carries
Rawls, who could share the backfield with Christine Michael, is not necessarily guaranteed to get the majority of carries week-to-week this season, the Seattle Times reports.
Analysis:
Offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell said Tuesday he does not have a preference for how the carries are split between Rawls and Michael. "We want the best guys to be out there and playing," Bevell said. "We have a lot of confidence in C-Mike, obviously we love what Thomas Rawls has done. You might see a couple guys rolling in there." Rawls is not expected to play preseason games, and it seems unlikely he would be given the majority of carries in Week 1 having not played at all. How long a shared backfield lasts is uncertain, though.
