Ravens' Kenneth Dixon: Set for MRI on Sunday
Dixon (knee sprain) will have an MRI on Sunday, Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com reports.
Analysis:
Dixon crumpled to the ground on a hard goal-line hit during the second quarter of Saturday's game against the Lions, eventually needing help to get off the field. He was diagnosed with a sprained knee shortly thereafter, and while head coach John Harbaugh believes the rookie avoided an "overly serious injury", Dixon will still have an MRI on Sunday to provide clarification. Prior to the injury, Dixon had a highly encouraging night, getting much of his work with the first-team offense and gaining 41 yards on six carries. If he isn't ready for Week 1, it would improve Terrance West's and Javorius Allen's chances to earn significant roles behind presumed starter Justin Forsett.
