49ers legend Rice blasts Kaepernick for disrespecting American flag
Kirby Lee / USA TODAY Sports
Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice became the latest person Monday to lambaste San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick over his decision to sit down in protest during the national anthem.
Kaepernick's protest went viral when he was caught sitting down during the anthem ahead of an Aug. 26 preseason game against the Green Bay Packers.
The 28-year-old told reporters he intends to continue protesting, due to the police brutality and oppression faced by African-Americans.
Rice evidently didn't share the same view as Kaepernick:
All lives matter. So much going on in this world today. Can we all just get along! Colin,I respect your stance but don't disrespect the Flag.
